Section Assistant Leader:

Fantasticly run event. Activities were brilliant, engaging and fun. Loved the sing song around the campfire. Only slight criticism would be the disco was a little late. We had extremely tired beavers and had to leave early.

Cant wait to do it all again though. We had some tears when the beavers arrived as they were a little apprehensive to leave their parents but more tears at the end of camp as the beavers didn’t want to go home!. Thank you.

Parent:

My son has had a lovely time at camp this weekend, it was his first time away so we were all a little nervous but the organisation from leaders and information passed through was excellent.
The leaders kept us up to date with pictures and posts which was brilliant and it looked
So much fun.
Thank you to everyone involved in making this a successful camp

Parent:

My son had a fab time. It’s his first night away from home not with family. He enjoyed the activities, archery and shooting being his favourite. He said there was a couple of activities he’d like to have done that he didn’t get time for.
I asked him if there was anything he would change about it and he said more sleep ha ha! He does love his bed.
So I’d say that’s a hit! He was quite shocked this was a first for beavers when I told him. He thinks they should all do it from now on and he said he would definately go again. Thanks to everyone for organising it!

Parent:

My son was so excited to be taking part in the Damboree. He sees his older brother go off to scout camp and couldn’t wait to camp with Beavers. He has had the opportunity to take part in fantastic activities, made new friends and laughed all along the way. He loved his night under canvas. This is an amazing opportunity for young beavers to start their scouting journey. Well done for organising an outstanding event.

Parent:

My twin boys enjoyed every second of the Damboree. Excitement started weeks before the event. I could see there independence developing when they were shopping for things on the kit list to packing their bags several times. I was proud that my boys had the confidence to enter the unknown with such confidence and drive to succeed. This maturity was down to the leaders who they felt comfortable with. They enjoyed all the activities they said, ‘The activities were totally awesome.’ They ate every bit of food they could and were most excited to have their own cup of tea. They are already asking, ‘When is the next one?’. A huge thank you to everyone involved to provide my children with such amazing opportunities your hard work is very much appreciated.
