We’re not going to get into the Scarf vs Necker Vs Neckie, vs Overly-Colourful-Emergency-Spare-Triangular-Bandage discussion, but what we can do is show you the latest offering from OneStop Scouting
So, we thought ‘lets do a two night camp, how hard can it be, and the second night is supposed to be easier’ (so everyone says). Planning started, dates were set.
Then it dawned on us….
East Cornwall District held their very first Damboree a few weeks ago at Nine Ashes Scout Activity Centre with almost 90 Beavers present. Sadly, the original camp that was planned for September 2018 had to be postponed due to a horrid storm on the camp date that swept in across the South West on the Damboree weekend uprooting trees and causing flooding.
Typical, thanks Mother Nature! We just had to put the Beavers safety first and move the date to early spring.
Occasional badges are required to be approved by the appropriate Commissioner as there seems to be no mechanic for approving Occasional Badges nationally (we’ve tried) we’re in the throes of getting the word out to get approvals through our network of participants.
